Nothing better that the classic mahogany runabouts that were built by built Chris Craft in the United States long ago. The term "BarrelBack" refers to the semi-circular or elliptical like half a barrel, allowing the blending of the topsides into the deck and sides.

Without question the 19' runabout model produced between 1939 and 1942 still holds the most appeal. Less that a few hundred originals were actually built.

But now you can build your own near-replica with this robustly modeled designfor a fraction of the cost and actually end up with a better boat.

 

Constructed with precision CNC routed marine play parts and a number of features to make assembly easy you can enter the period of yesteryear faster than you think.

Combining classic design, modern manufacturing and construction techniques and fully documented assembly drawings the basic frame ready for cladding can be built in less that 4 days.

 

All parts are precision machined and contain features like dowel location holes for alignment of parts, predrilled holes for screws and much more. We only use sustainable, responsibly sources certified marine plywood (BS1008 AA). All supplied fasteners are stainless steel.

 

MDF Jigs are also supplied for accurate and easy assembly.
