FAQ's

WHAT LEVEL OF SKILL DO I NEED?

As the kits go together generally like a jigsaw puzzle they are relatively fast to construct and assemble. Parts are accurately machined to make fitment easy.

Anyone with general wood working skills should feel comfortable assembling the kits by following the supplied detailed instructions (much like Ikea kit instructions). As glue is used to fixing, assembling quickly and neatly is the go.

WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED?

Kit assembly is largely a woodworking project and as such woodworking tools are needed;

  • Battery drill/drivers, you will need two. One for counterboring and drilling, another for screw inserting. Many screws are driven into the end grain of plywood, so pre-drilling and counterboring is a must for the entire length of screws used.

  • Clamps - At least a dozen . Trying to put the kits together without them will not ensure parts are fastened flush. Hand grip clamps such as these are sufficient. Better to have more that less of better quality.

  • Hammer - for nudging things and attaching some beading with fin pins

  • Sandpaper for finishing and preparing for painting

  • Brushes, Rollers or Spraying equipment for final paint finishing.

WHAT IS SUPPLIED IN THE KITS?
